Man Utd transfer news: Real Madrid convinced deal in place to sign David de Gea - claim
REAL MADRID have a deal in place to sign Manchester United star David de Gea, according to stunning reports in Spain.
Real Madrid are long-term admirers of David de Gea
De Gea has been a long standing target for Real Madrid and he came very close to joining the La Liga giants in the summer of 2015, but was denied by a faulty fax machine.
Real have continued to keep tabs on the Spain international along with Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois as Zinedine Zidane is eyeing a replacement for Keylor Navas.
Jose Mourinho has so far held firm and is adamant De Gea isn’t leaving.
De Gea has been consistently one of United’s best performers this season, conceding just 26 goals in the Premier League this term.
For the future it will be spoken after the season
But according to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Real president Florentino Perez has an unshakeable belief that a deal will be struck.
It is suggested Perez reckons an agreement has been reached for the transfer to take place.
Don Balon also claim that United will demand £86million for De Gea, and that a move will be funded in part by selling James Rodriguez to Bayern Munich.

Zidane has already hinted that he could bring in a new goalkeeper as he said: “At the time there was no need to sign a goalkeeper.
“We have three and we are happy with the three goalkeepers.
“For the future it will be spoken after the season.”
