Arsenal news: Jack Wilshere most likely to join Everton - report
EVERTON are most likely to sign Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, reports claim.
Jack Wilshere could leave Arsenal in the summer
Wilshere is in a stand-off with Arsenal over a new deal and he is out of contract in the summer.
The Gunners want him to take a 25 per cent pay cut on his £90,000-a-week deal and make it more performance incentivised as his career has been plagued by injuries.
Wilshere is believed to want to stay at the Emirates even though both camps have made little headway with negotiations.
AC Milan have been linked with a move while Everton are also monitoring his situation, as Sam Allardyce seeks to improve his squad.
He looks like he has really got the bit between his teeth
And according to the Daily Star, Everton are the frontrunners for his signature.
The report suggests the Toffees are showing the strongest interest.
Allardyce admitted last week he’s always been a big fan of Wilshere.
“I can’t comment on that, you’re not supposed to be talking about that!,” Allardyce told talkSPORT.
Sam Allardyce is an admirer of Jack Wilshere
Wilshere just 'pretends' to care about Arsenal: Moreno
“I’ve always admired him, oh yes.
“I’ve seen a big difference in Jack Wilshere recently, in his frame, in his body.
“He looks like he has really got the bit between his teeth.”
Wilshere’s injury problems continued as he sat out England’s friendly against the Netherlands and Italy, something which could impinge upon a summer transfer.
