Salah has been one of the most impressive Premier League performers this season, scoring 28 top-flight goals and 36 in all competitions for Liverpool since joining in the summer.
The 25-year-old is hunting down Ian Rush’s club record of 47 goals in a campaign, but is not yet considered equal to the Liverpool legend according to Mark Lawrenson.

Writing in his column for the Daily Mail, Lawrenson stresses that his list of club legends is in chronological order and also gives honourable mentions to Alan Hansen, Phil Thompson, Roger Hunt, Rus, Michael Owen, Xabi Alonso and Luiz Suarez.
