Barcelona star Dembele tells Valverde he'll LEAVE if Griezmann signs - Spanish claims
OUSMANE DEMBELE is reportedly unhappy about Barcelona’s pursuit of Antoine Griezmann and has told Ernesto Valverde he wants out if the Atletico Madrid star arrives at the Nou Camp.
Antoine Griezmann's six spectacular goals at the Euros
Dembele joined the Spanish giants from Borussia Dortmund last summer in the wake of Neymar’s £200m move to Paris Saint-Germain.
But he’s enjoyed a miserable first season at Barcelona, with injuries severely hampering his ability to settle at the club.
Dembele’s problems were compounded in January when Barcelona snapped up Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool in a £142m deal.
And the latest reports in Spain suggest news of another potential transfer has prompted an angry response from the 20-year-old.
According to Don Balon, Dembele is not best pleased by the prospect of Griezmann swapping Atletico for Barcelona.
And he’s apparently warned Valverde that he’s desperate to go out on loan if an agreement for his countryman is struck.
Dembele is well aware that Griezmann’s arrival would stifle his chances of nailing down a starting spot at Barcelona.

And it seems he’d be keen to continue his development elsewhere, rather than fight against Griezmann, Coutinho, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez for a place in Valverde’s team.
Dembele will be hoping he’s afforded an opportunity to shine when Barcelona take on Espanyol in the Supercopa de Catalunya this evening.
Barcelona return to La Liga action on Saturday when they travel to Malaga.
