Real Madrid news: Cristiano Ronaldo makes bold Champions League request to Zinedine Zidane
CRISTIANO RONALDO has reportedly led a cluster of Real Madrid stars in asking Zinedine Zidane not to start Theo Hernandez against Paris Saint-Germain in two weeks.
Theo Hernández delivers brilliant performance against Real Madrid
The Spanish giants are gunning for a third Champions League title in a row in a bid to salvage what’s been a disastrous season by their high standards.
And they’ll go into the second leg of their last-16 tie with PSG at the Parc des Princes with a 3-1 advantage thanks to goals from Ronaldo and Marcelo.
Injury means Marcelo will not be able to line up against Unai Emery’s men though and Zidane is said to be planning to play Hernandez instead.
However, the latest reports in Spain suggest Ronaldo does not want Hernandez anywhere near the starting XI that takes on PSG.
According to Diario Gol, Ronaldo has issued a damning verdict on his team-mate, saying: "He's very bad."
Ronaldo is said to have been unimpressed by Hernandez’s performance against Leganes last night.
And he’s one of a number of players who would like to see Zidane forego loyalty to his countryman when Real take on PSG.

Diario Gol claim Ronaldo and co. would rather see Dani Carvajal switched to left-back with Nacho Fernandez taking his place on the right.
They’re even said to have put forward Gareth Bale or Lucas Vazquez slotting in for the injured Marcelo instead of Hernandez.
Real came back from a goal down to beat Leganes 3-1 last night, thanks to goals from Vazquez, Casemiro and Sergio Ramos.
And they’ll be hoping to keep their momentum going as they look to climb up the La Liga table and progress in the Champions League.
