Man Utd news: Monaco star Fabinho ramps up Old Trafford transfer speculation
FABINHO has fuelled rumours he is set to join Manchester United in the summer by revealing his plans to leave Monaco.
Fabinho has insisted he wants to leave Monaco
Fabinho has been a star player for Monaco over the last few seasons and was a pivotal member of their Ligue 1 title-winning side.
However, like Kylian Mbappe, Bernardo Silva, Benjamin Mendy and Tiemoue Bakayoko - the Brazilian has admitted it’s now time to move on.
Manchester United are said to be the frontrunners to sign the 24-year-old and his latest comments would suggest a summer move is certainly on the cards.
“My time with Monaco was good but I feel my time here is coming to an end,” Fabinho told Brazilian sports newspaper Lance.

“I know that the club’s vision is to try to finish second and qualify for the Champions League without counting on big-name players but on young players.
“I believe I have gone through this process.
“I arrived as an unknown, I made my name at the club, won things — but maybe I need a new challenge.”
Reports from Italy this week have suggested Fabinho will be heading to Old Trafford in the summer as a replacement for Marouane Fellaini.
Negotiations are said to be well underway with United and it is certainly no secret that the Red Devils are keen to sign the Brazil international.
Speaking to French outlet Telefoot last year, the midfielder’s father Joao admitted there had been contact with the Premier League side.
But he warned other clubs were also circling - including Manchester City who Fabinho is said to have a “soft spot” for.
“We have talked to Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal… We have even been approached by Barcelona, but it didn't go any further," he said.
"We like Manchester United and the work of Mourinho, but we have a little soft spot for City."
