MANCHESTER UNITED hero Wayne Rooney and Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher have had many battles down the years on the pitch.

But tonight the pair worked together for the first time as pundits and Rooney was quick to take a dig at his old rival.
Rooney was making his debut on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football programme for tonight’s Premier League clash between Watford and Chelsea.
Manchester United legend Gary Neville has worked alongside Carragher for the last few years and Rooney was sure not to let his former team-mate’s side down.
Presenter Dave Jones asked the former England captain if he was looking forward to his first punditry stint.

And he was quick to mock Jamie Carragher over their playing days.
“Yeah I’m looking forward to it,” Rooney replied.
