Manchester United have already signed one player on transfer deadline day.
And the activity continues into the afternoon as Scott moves north of the border.
In a statement, Hamilton wrote: “The club are delighted to announce the signing of Charlie Scott, a 20 year old midfielder, on loan from Manchester United until the end of the season.
“This is with a view to a permanent move.
“We are awaiting international clearance.”
Hamilton boss Martin Canning said: “I am pleased to welcome Charlie to the club and believe he’ll be a great addition to our squad.”
Scott, 20, has been a regular in United’s U23 side this season.
The midfielder, who can also play in defence, is the second done deal for United today.
Earlier on deadline day the Red Devils landed goalkeeper Matej Kovar.
Kovar, 17, joins from Czech side FC Slovacko.
A United statement read: “The 17-year-old is a talented young goalkeeper who has already appeared for Czech Republic’s Under-18s on two occasions, highlighting his promising pedigree and excellent potential.

Matteo Darmian, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Daley Blind could all still leave the club before tonight’s 11pm deadline.
