Ronaldo ‘ready to join Chelsea’
Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly weighing up a stunning move to Chelsea.
The Sun claim Ronaldo is ‘open to a move to Stamford Bridge’ after growing fed up in Spain.
Ronaldo is said to want to quit Real Madrid in the wake of the tax issues and with the side faltering in La Liga.
Zinedine Zidane’s side are struggling in the league and sit fourth after 20 games, 16 points behind leaders Barcelona.
Ronaldo’s dream of a move back to Manchester United is over after the signing of Alexis Sanchez and now he’s looking at other options.
A source told the Sun: “Ronaldo to Chelsea would be a stunning deal, but it makes a lot of sense if you think about it.
“Chelsea need more attacking players and if United don’t want Ronaldo, it’s very unlikely he would go to Liverpool or Man City because of the rivalry.
“So that leaves Chelsea as the only club who could afford his wages.
“It would also mean he was living in a cosmopolitan city, which is something that is important to him now he has four children.”

No Kane while Ronaldo is there
Harry Kane will not join Real Madrid while Cristiano Ronaldo remains at the club.
That is according to Guillem Balague.
He told the Transfer Talk podcast: "That's been put in the press in England because 1+1 is 2 because Pochettino and Kane should come together.
"In the Spanish press there's been some mischievous leaks from Real Madrid because Harry Kane could be the new Galactico.
"But what's happening is while Cristiano Ronaldo is there, Harry Kane won't go.
"And while Harry Kane wants to stay at Spurs as it stands, there will be time again for him to go abroad. He's said himself he wants to do so but I just feel it's not the right time. "
Hazard battle
Real Madrid are keen on a deal for Chelsea ace Eden Hazard.
However, the Sunday Mirror claim Real will now face competition from Premier League high-flyers Manchester City for Hazard’s signature.
It is said Pep Guardiola’s side are willing to pay a British transfer record worth £150million to bring Hazard to the Etihad.
The report suggests Hazard would earn similar wages to Kevin De Bruyne, who agreed to a new five-year deal with City earlier this week worth close to £350,000-a-week.
