Alexis Sanchez arrival creates Man Utd doubt over two players - Steve Nicol
MANCHESTER UNITED stars Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial will be wondering where they fit in after the arrival of Alexis Sanchez, claims pundit Steve Nicol.
Anthony Martial shows off stunning skills for France
Sanchez completed his move to Manchester United from Arsenal on Monday, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan heading in the opposite direction.
The Chilean’s most-common position during his time at Arsenal was on the left-hand side of an attacking front three.
That is the role Martial has excelled in recently under Jose Mourinho and often where Rashford finds himself when he is on the pitch.
Nicol believes the pair will be a little disillusioned with the signing of Sanchez but more so Rashford.
Alexis Sanchez's arrival has put a couple of Manchester United players' futures in doubt, says Nicol
I think both Rashford and Martial will be trying to figure out what’s going to happen
“I think both Rashford and Martial will be trying to figure out what’s going to happen,” Liverpool legend Nicol said on ESPN FC.
“Well the thing is as well, from Rashford’s point of view, until Alexis Sanchez came in he’s probably thinking ‘you know what, if he needs to give (Romelu) Lukaku a break, then I can play through the middle’. So they’ve got a couple of options.
“Now the fact that Sanchez is there, he can play through the middle as well.
“I don’t think he’s reached the stage where I think he should leave yet, but it’s coming close.”

Marcus Rashford will have to soon think about leaving Man Utd, claims Nicol
Nicol’s colleague and Scottish compatriot Craig Burley insists Marcus Rashford is under more pressure than French team-mate Martial.
“Martial is the one I think who is under less pressure,” ex-Chelsea midfielder Burley said.
“He’s playing really well and he’s a real talent. He is a talent but you have to get more out of him and he could have a big summer for France as well.”
