Liverpool news: Swansea boss Carlos Carvalhal makes strange F1 claim after win
LIVERPOOL were likened to an F1 car by the Swansea boss Carlos Carvahal after his side’s shock win at the Liberty Stadium.
Klopp: I'm more upset with the performance than the result
The victory for the Swans has given them hope of beating the drop, as they are three points adrift of safety, even though they are bottom of the Premier League table.
An Alfie Mawson header proved to be the difference between the two sides.
Liverpool huffed and puffed in search of an equaliser and they should have been on level terms in stoppage time, but Roberto Firmino scooped an effort over the bar inside the penalty area with the goal at his mercy.
The defeat for Jurgen Klopp's men meant they were unable to pull further clear of Tottenham, who are also chasing a top four spot.

If you put that F1 car in the 4pm London traffic, the F1 car will not drive very fast
And Carvalhal made a bizarre claim after the match.
“I told my players: Liverpool is a strong team. Like a Formula 1 car,” Carvalhal said.
"If you put that F1 car in the 4pm London traffic, the F1 car will not drive very fast.
“That’s exactly what we had to do. Let them play in a way they don’t like.”
Jurgen Klopp, meanwhile, was left irate with the result.
Jurgen Klopp was left frustrated after his side's defeat
He said: “I'm frustrated and I'm angry because it was not a good game.
“We lost the game in the first half. We didn't do what we wanted to do. It hasn't happened too often so I didn't expect that, I was quite surprised.
“Because of the first half we weren't flying and they were.
"We made pressure at the end but not enough to score. The last situation was unlucky but if we got a point it would still have been a bad game for us, and it was the opposite of what we wanted.
“That happens from time to time and it's never the right moment and like it should be.”
