Chelsea news: Antonio Conte reveals Alvaro Morata fury after Norwich win
ANTONIO CONTE has explained why he was annoyed with Chelsea star Alvaro Morata after the Norwich game.
Alvaro Morata was sent off against Norwich
Chelsea were pushed very hard against Norwich in their FA Cup third round replay at Stamford Bridge last night before eventually prevailing on penalties.
The Blues were reduced to nine men when Morata and Pedro both got sent off in extra-time.
Morata was initially cautioned initially for appearing to dive and then was shown an immediate second yellow card for dissent.
Willian was booked for simulation, even though VAR seemed to suggest Chelsea should have had a penalty.
When pressed about Morata’s dismissal, Conte said: “For sure I think I am not happy for the second yellow card to Morata.
You must pay great attention because in this moment in the game you have to stay calm
“The first was for a doubtful situation, but the second was for dissent.
“You must pay great attention because in this moment in the game you have to stay calm.”
And when asked whether he thought Morata and Pedro dived, Conte added: “I don’t know. I don’t want an advantage.

Gianfranco Zola: Alvaro Morata needs to be more ruthless
“If there was a diving then it is right to give a yellow card, I don’t want the advantage, especially if there is this system.
“If it was not a penalty it was right to give a yellow card.”
The Blues will now face Newcastle in all-Premier League fourth-round tie on January 28.
