Liverpool vs Everton: Carragher says Allardyce will be delighted to see the Liverpool starting XI
That is the view of Sky Sports pundit and Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher.
Liverpool boss Klopp made six changes to the side that beat Spartak Moscow 7-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday.
The notable absentees where Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino, who both took their place among the substitutes.
Carragher was surprised when he saw the starting line-up and admits it is a gamble from Klopp.
I think on the Everton side and certainly in the dressing room and Sam Allardyce, they’ll be delighted
“It is a big risk whenever a manager makes changes,” the former defender said.
“Obviously that is something I’ve mentioned with Jurgen Klopp, he is starting to get the rotation right.
“But whenever supporters of a club are happy with rotation, it’s not in the big games.
“You always want your best team to be playing, I didn’t see this coming.
“I thought rotation would come midweek, West Brom at home you’d expect that.
“But there’s no doubt when this team sheet comes in a lot of Liverpool fans will be disappointed, like myself.
“But I think on the Everton side and certainly in the dressing room and Sam Allardyce, they’ll be delighted and that will give them a bit more belief.”
