Commons wants to shine in Scotland double header
Kris Commons has given Scotland boss George Burley a massive boost with the news he is set to bounce back from injury for the World Cup double-header against Holland and Iceland.
The Derby attacker has enjoyed an excellent season and has become a major part of the international scene, but was rated doubtful after tearing his calf muscle last month.
Commons has missed Derby’s last four matches, but he hopes to be back for their league clash with Barnsley a week on Saturday and expects to be available for the Amsterdam Arena on March 28.
The 25-year-old said: “The Scotland games are on March 28 and April 3, so I hope I can travel to the Scotland training camp and get a bit of physio there if need be.
I will try to train there and give myself every chance. That would be fantastic
