LIVERPOOL hero Steve McManaman was in awe of Sadio Mane’s first goal against Spartak Moscow tonight.
Liverpool beat Spartak 7-0 at Anfield to ensure they finished top of Group E in the Champions League.
The Reds were three to the good by half time, with some stunning solo football in front of the adoring Anfield crowd.
But it was Mane’s effort just after the break which was the goal of the night.
The Senegalese forward was picked out by a cross from James Milner, who had only just come on as a substitute for the injured Alberto Moreno.

Mane lashed home a stunning volley, leaving Spartak keeper Aleksandr Selikhov helpless.
“There you go. He misses the easy ones and scores the hard ones,” McManaman said on BT Sport.
“Great movement by Coutinho, James Milner, what can you say, this was basically his first touch in the game.
“He fizzes it in and then bang! Give us another look at that!

"The second was a beautiful goal, this was just as good wasn’t it.
“He hits it with the inside of his foot, what a goal.
“The great thing was as well was there was so much pace on the cross but once he got it on target, it was flying in.
“Selikhov couldn’t do anything about it. That shows you what Liverpool want to do in the second half.”
