IAN WRIGHT was left fuming with referee Andre Marriner after Arsenal lost to Manchester United.
Ian Wright couldn't believe Arsenal were denied a penalty against Man Utd
The Gunners fell to a 3-1 defeat to ten-man Manchester United at the Emirates despite Paul Pogba being sent off.
Although it was a decision minutes later that irked Gunners legend Wright.
Danny Welbeck was caught by the sliding Chris Smalling in the box but Marriner waved away the Arsenal appeals for a penalty.
The call angered Wright and fellow Match of the Day pundit Alan Shearer, who called for players to be given more help to stay on their feet.
He said: "This is a penalty. How has he not given that? The linesman is there.

"Arsenal needed that, especially with the way they started.
"You've got to give that."
Shearer agreed and said: "Players often get criticised for going down far too easy and getting up and having a pop at the referee.
"There was no appeal at all there from Welbeck. He gets up and tries to play the game on.
"He needs help from the officials - that is a penalty."
