The ex-Blues midfielder has said that Drogba used to be a changed man before a big game - and even compared him to an “animal.”
The pair played together for eight years and were hugely successful, winning a number of trophies including the Champions League.
Lampard is the Blues’ all-time leading goalscorer and captained the side through their most successful period ever.
Some of his most memorable strikes came against Bolton Wanderers in the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons, where he scored the title-winning goals which wrapped up back-to-back triumphs.
And although the ex-England international was the heart-beat of the side, he also credits Drogba and John Terry for the impact they had in the glory days.

“I always say Didier Drogba and John Terry [were my favourite to play alongside], for different reasons so it’s like a double-headed answer really,” Lampard told Copa90.
“John, I wouldn’t say he’s underrated because everyone appreciates how good he was but I think he’s underrated on the ball, how good he was.
“Didier for me was amazing, to have him in your team in a final, you felt Didier in the dressing room before a big game that it was a different Didier, he was like an animal.
Lampard and Drogba clinched the Premier League title at the Reebok Stadium in back-to-back years.
“His preparation, the intensity in his eyes and then he always produced.”
Since hanging his boots up, Lampard has gone into television, frequently appearing as a pundit and on sports quiz shows.
He currently serves as a team-captain on ITV’s Play to the Whistle.
