LECH POZNAN winger Kamil Jozwiak wants to join Leeds United, according to a spokesman for the Polish club.
Leeds United are interested in signing Lech Poznan winger Kamil Jozwiak
Leeds fancy signing Jozwiak to Elland Road in the January transfer window and have already had a bid worth £180,000 plus add-ons (€200,000) rejected.
The 19-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and snubbed the offer an extension earlier this week.
Poznan spokesman Lukasz Borowicz said: “During the meeting, the agent and father reported that they were not interested in the club's offer and would like to transfer the player to Leeds United.”
Jozwiak has been on the fringes of Poznan’s first team this term, managing just five appearances.
The Polish outfit have an option to extend his contract for a further season but Jozwiak wants out.
After he rejected a new four-year deal deal, vice-president Piotr Rutkowski said: "It is a painful loss for us, it is difficult for us to understand this decision and we are disappointed.
“Kamil in the colours of Lech developed harmoniously, got a chance to perform in the first team, taste the European cups, received calls to the youth of Poland.
“In spite of the weaker form in the last few months, we still trusted him, and we wanted to keep him connected to him for a long time.”
