Stock takes from Charlton
CHARLTON - 1, DONCASTER - 2
Doncaster extended their excellent run of form and inflicted more woe on relegation favourites Charlton.
Brian Stock converted a 77th-minute penalty to give Rovers their fifth win in six games and move them further away from the drop zone.
Charlton striker Chris Dickson came close to breaking the deadlock in the 10th minute when he raced forward from midfield, only to screw his effort wide.
Doncaster’s best chance of the half fell to top-scorer Paul Heffernan in the 29th minute but he failed to connect with Martin Woods’ cross.
His blushes were spared by James Coppinger who found himself in space after Richie Wellens’ clever back-heel on 50 minutes and calmly slotted past Rob Elliot from 10-yards.
Nicky Bailey pulled Charlton level in the 73rd minute with his ninth goal of the season.
But midfielder Bailey then conceded a penalty for fouling Wellens, which Stock converted.
