That is the view of Swansea captain Leon Britton, who was working as a pundit for Sky Sports.
Britton watched his Swansea side get beaten 2-0 by Manchester United in the Carabao Cup.
Lingard scored both of the goals either side of half time to take Mourinho’s side into the quarter-final.
The England international started the 2-1 defeat to Huddersfield on Saturday.
I’m sure in the game on the weekend, in the Premier League a big one, he’ll be pushing to start
And Britton feels he deserves another chance against Tottenham at Old Trafford this weekend.
“I don’t see why not,” Britton said when asked if the Manchester United star can become a regular in the league.
“If he’s producing form like we’ve seen tonight, I don’t see any reason (not to play him).
“It’s the competition, you’re talking about (Juan) Mata, (Henrikh) Mkhitaryan, (Marcus) Rashford, (Anthony) Martial, (Romelu) Lukaku.

“I’m sure in the game on the weekend, in the Premier League a big one, he’ll be pushing to start in that one.”
