ROY HODGSON salutes overjoyed Crystal Palace fans as they celebrated their first win - and goal - of the season with a stirring, and surprising, 2-1 win over Chelsea.

But then he revealed there was no special celebration planned in the Hodgson household last night.
He plans to take his wife, Sheila, to see Southampton play Newcastle today instead "to show her it's not true that I don't take her anywhere!"
Then Hodgson, who claimed Palace could have scored four or five yesterday, said he would now be back to the training ground to ensure he can enjoy more days like yesterday.
"A championship is 38 matches," he added.

"Each is its own particular story. Sometimes it's a good story – we'd like to read that chapter again – but next Saturday is another story.
"Now it's back to square one. We need to realise what we did well today and then work on it.”
Crystal Palace’s next match is against Newcastle next week at St James’ Park.
