Real Madrid news: Isco plays matches like a kick-about and I do not mind that - Zidane
ZINEDINE ZIDANE reserved special praise for Isco after Real Madrid beat Espanyol.
Isco netted a double during Real Madrid's win over Espanyol
Real Madrid secured their first La Liga win of the season at the Bernabeu yesterday with a 2-0 victory.
Isco grabbed both goals as Los Blancos wrapped up a good week which saw them beat Borussia Dortmund 3-1 in the Champions League.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who hit a double in Europe, is still looking to open his account in La Liga this term.
The Portuguese star contributed to the win over Espanyol, as he provided an assist for the opener.
And Zidane thinks Real are seeing the best of Isco now.
He plays as if it's a kick-about and I like that
“He's looking very confident. He knows how important he is to Real Madrid,” Zidane said.
“He plays as if it's a kick-about and I like that.
“He keeps going and if things don't come off for him, he's patient and he doesn't panic.
“He's comfortable out on the pitch, with his teammates, and I'm thrilled that we're seeing the best of Isco more and more.”
Zinedine Zidane was thrilled with Isco's display
Speaking more generally about the performance, Zidane added: “We were a bit tired in the second half. That's to be expected after the seven games we've played recently.
“We dropped off physically. The bad thing is that not many of my players will get a rest, they're not going to have any days off.
“They've got an important week with World Cup qualifiers and the most important thing is for them not to pick up any injuries.”
