Chelsea news: Eden Hazard rules out big-money move to PSG
CHELSEA forward has ruled out the possibility of joining Paris Saint-Germain in the future.
Chelsea's Eden Hazard returns to the squad
Hazard joined Chelsea from Lille in a £32million deal in 2012 and has continually been linked with a big-money move away from Stamford Bridge.
His Belgian compatriot Thomas Meunier last week urged Hazard to join him at Paris Saint-Germain.
Hazard, who is also said to be a target for Real Madrid, admits he would be open to returning to France one day.
But the 26-year-old insists it would only be to rejoin Lille, where he won the Ligue 1 title and Coupe de France during his seven years at the club.
Eden Hazard rules out PSG move
If I do go back to France it will be to play for Lille
He told French media outlet SFR Sport: “There are some big clubs, and it was an attractive league even when I played in it six years ago.
“Big stars want to play in Ligue 1, and that is a good thing. But if I am to return it will be to play for Lille – they are my club.
“I still have a career to carve out, with a number of seasons ahead of me.
“I am at Chelsea for the time being, and I don’t know where my career will take me in the future, but if I do go back to France it will be to play for Lille.”
Hazard is expected to make his first start of the season in tonight’s Carabao Cup visit of Nottingham Forest (7:45pm) after recovering from an ankle injury.
