Kolasinac, 24, was brought on in the second half when Arsenal were 1-0 down to Cologne thanks to a stunning Jhon Cordoba goal in the Europa League last night.
Wenger brought the Bosnia international on for Rob Holding after reverting to a back four.
And his tactical change paid off with the defender scoring the Gunners’ equaliser, which turned the game on its head as they went onto win 3-1.
He was also influential in sparking Alexis Sanchez into life, with the Chilean scoring their second goal at the Emirates.
Hector Bellerin ensured Arsenal sealed a comfortable win by bagging their third of the match.
But Arsene Wenger reckons one of the key difference makers in the game was Kolasinac, with the defender allowing Sanchez to step up his performance in the second half.
“I moved to a four [at the back] in the second half and Kolasinac gave us a lot going forward, but as well he pushed Sanchez more forward,” Wenger said.
