Coutinho was named on the Liverpool bench by manager Jurgen Klopp and could make his first appearance of the season.
The Brazilian was left out of the squad which lost 5-0 to Manchester City due to fitness concerns but Klopp says Coutinho is now ready to play.
He said: "Philippe Coutinho is ready, that is why he is on the bench."
And despite a poor defensive display against City, Klopp insists his players have to respond with a better performance.
