Liverpool news: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain spells clear to Jurgen Klopp positional hopes
ALEX OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN has reminded Jurgen Klopp he wants a central midfield role for Liverpool.

Oxlade-Chamberlain, who moved to Anfield in a £35million deal on deadline day from Arsenal, made his debut at the weekend.
However, unfortunately he came on as a second-half substitute for Mohamed Salah in a 5-0 defeat away to Manchester City on Saturday.
Oxlade-Chamberlain came close to joining Chelsea over the summer.
But after learning he would be playing as a right wing-back to provide competition for Victor Moses, the England international got cold feet and preferred a switch to Anfield instead.

I got the feel from coming here that I'd be playing further forward and in attacking midfielder
And Oxlade-Chamberlain has outlined his desire to play in a more central role for Liverpool.
He said: “I've always been a central attacking midfielder.
“As I became a professional I got put out wide more. I like doing that as well but I want to be further forward on the pitch.
“I got the feel from coming here that I'd be playing further forward and in attacking midfielder."

Oxlade-Chamberlain also revealed what it was like to get one of Clop’s trademark bear hugs when he turned up last Wednesday for training at Selwood.
He added: “[The hug] was nice, very warm, very loving, very passionate.
“He's a really interesting and inspirational character. I've got that hunger to do him right and play well for him."
