Manchester United news: Marouane Fellaini snapped in training despite injury worry
MANCHESTER UNITED have been training ahead of their Champions League clash against FC Basel – and Marouane Fellaini featured despite a recent injury worry.
Fellaini missed United’s 2-2 stalemate with Stoke on Saturday after picking up a calf injury during the international break.
And Jose Mourinho confirmed the Belgium ace remains a doubt for tomorrow’s (7.45pm) meeting with Basel depending on how he responds to training today.
“Let's see if he can train today,” Mourinho said. “He's a very important player for me, much more important than you can imagine. He had a [calf] problem with his national team and then he played a match against Greece, and after the match he felt the problem.
“If his condition improves he will be selected, because I need him.”
But Fellaini looked to be in fine form as he was snapped undergoing some sprints in training alongside his Red Devils team-mates.
