West Ham United have named 22 players in their Premier League squad for the 2017/18 season
At the end of the transfer window, every Premier League club is required to submit a squad list of no more than 17 players who don’t fulfil the “Home Grown Player” criteria.
The remaining players in the 25-man squad must be home grown.
Home grown players are those who “irrespective of his nationality or age, has been registered with any club affiliated to the Football Association or the Football Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons or 36 months before his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21)”.
However, Under-21 players are eligible over the limit of 25 players per squad.
West Ham have only named 22 players in their 2017/18 squad, although manager Slaven Bilic will be able to call upon several Under-21s to bolster the ranks.
