John Terry is eyeing a return to Chelsea and Alvaro Morata could join Manchester United on Thursday
John Terry has vowed to eventually return to Stamford Bridge as manager of Chelsea after signing a one-year deal with Aston Villa.
The 36-year-old was out of contract with the Blues this summer and chose to drop down a division so he wouldn’t have to face his former side.
The Mirror report that Terry has been in conversation with former team-mate Frank Lampard over the possibility of managing Chelsea, with the ex-England captain vowing to return to his boyhood club.
Meanwhile, The Sun claim Alvaro Morata’s long-awaited transfer to Manchester United could be completed on Thursday.
The Spaniard will reportedly cost £60million, with significant progress on the deal supposedly made after the 24-year-old’s agent and father met officials at Real Madrid.
Elsewhere, Andy Murray cruised through the first round at Wimbledon but made headlines by slamming compatriot Dan Evans after he was banned after testing positive for cocaine.
