Daniel Sturridge, whose Anfield career has been plagued by injuries, was heavily linked with a move away from Liverpool in January.
West Ham were credited with an interest, as Slaven Bilic was keen to plug his problems up front.
Sturridge rarely got a look-in under Klopp last term when fit as he preferred to play three up front, with Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firming usually getting the nod.
And now according to the Sunday Mirror, Sturridge won’t be allowed to head for the exit.

Jurgen Klopp, the Mirror says, thinks the inflated transfer market will make it harder for Sturridge to leave.
It is suggested the German tactician is worried about whether the Reds will be able to replace him.
Therefore, unless Klopp receives a huge offer, Sturridge looks likely to stay on Merseyside.

Paris Saint-Germain have also been tracking Sturridge and former Liverpool star Jason McAteer thinks Cristiano Ronaldo could hold the key to a deal.
He said: “It could depend on Ronaldo. If he left Madrid, I'm certain he would join PSG – and that would rule out them moving for Sturridge.
"But, whatever happens, the time is right for Daniel to move."
