Scottish Premiership Fixtures REVEALED: Celtic v Rangers schedule, Hibs v Hearts dates
THE SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP fixtures for the 2017/18 season have been revealed.
Scottish Premiership fixtures: The schedule release is at 9am
Celtic will face Hearts on the opening day of the campaign, with Rangers away at Motherwell.
Hibs return to the top flight with a clash against Patrick Thistle, Aberdeen host Hamilton, Dundee play Ross County and St Johnstone travel to Kilmarnock.
The first Old Firm clash will be played on September 23 at Ibrox.
Champions Celtic and rivals Rangers clashed six times last season - four times in the Premiership.
Celtic came out on top in thee of those four league clashes, drawing the other.
Aberdeen finished second last season but have seen a mini exodus of the club, with Ryan Jack and Jonny Hayes leaving for the Old Firm sides.
Newly promoted Hibs are back in the top flight after three seasons in the second tier.
And Hamilton remain in the Premiership after beating Dundee United in the relegation playoff final 1-0 on aggregate last month.
The Scottish Premiership season starts on 5 August and ends on 13 May.
Ibrox hosts the first Old Firm of the season
2017/18 Old Firm fixtures
Rangers will host Celtic in the first Old Firm clash of the season on 23 September.
The Hoops will then host their rivals on 30 December. Last year they clash on New Year’s Eve.
The third scheduled match between the two is penned in for 10 March.
Easter Road hosts the first Edinburgh derby of the campaign
2017/18 Edinburgh derbies
Hibs and Hearts are reunited in the Scottish Premiership.
Hibs host Hearts in the first of three Edinburgh derbies on Wednesday 25 October.
Another Wednesday fixture is penned in for the return leg, on 27 December.
Hibs then host Hearts again on 10 March - the same day as the third Old Firm of the campaign.
