Diego Costa: Chelsea striker sets deadline on Stamford Bridge exit - report
DIEGO COSTA has reportedly set a deadline as to when he wishes to leave Chelsea.
Diego Costa: Conte told me I’m not in his plans anymore
The Spaniard looks increasingly likely to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer after being told by Antonio Conte via a text message that he won’t be a part of his plans for next season.
Conte is currently exploring potential replacements, and Romelu Lukaku heads the wishlist of targets, with Alvaro Morata set to join Manchester United in a blockbuster deal.
Atletico Madrid are interested in re-signing Costa, although they can’t buy any players as they are currently serving a transfer ban.
And now according to Spanish paper Marca, the 28-year-old will be hoping to leave the club by August 6 if Conte agrees to sell him.

It is said Conte could still play the striker against Arsenal in the Community Shield if he hasn’t left by then.
As things stand, Costa is able to sign for three different clubs, according to FIFA regulations.
Atletico president Enrique Cerezo admitted earlier this week it is up to Costa whether or not he wishes to join.

“He is the one that has to say and decide,” Cerezo said.
“Costa is a Chelsea player and we can’t even say that we are interested.
"What I can say is that we are in a situation [transfer ban] where we are working for the future.”
