Premier League prize money: How much did your club earn last season?
THE PREMIER LEAGUE has announced the value of their broadcast and commercial payments to clubs during the 2016/17 season, with the top-flight teams sharing a pot of almost £2.4billion.
Champions Chelsea have unsurprisingly scooped the most money after their triumphant campaign, but there were some teams that have found themselves hard-done-by due to a lack of television coverage.
The teams share 50 per cent of the UK broadcast income equally, meaning each club received £35.3million this campaign.
In addition, 25 per cent is distributed as ‘Facility Fees’ based on each time a club’s match is broadcast, while the other 25 per cent is allocated based on the final Premier League table.
The top-flight teams also received equal shares of the international broadcast income and the central commercial income, totalling £87.1m each.
