REAL MADRID have announced the signing of Vinicius Junior from Flamengo.
Barcelona target Vinicius Junior celebrates an INCREDIBLE goal
Vinicius has emerged as one of Brazilian football's brightest stars despite being just 16-years-old.
The teenager caught the eye for Brazil in a South American Under-17 tournament earlier this year and Europe's top clubs have been chasing ever since.
Manchester United and Arsenal were reportedly keen on signing Vinicius but Madrid have led the way in the pursuit.
And this afternoon they have confirmed Vinicius will officially join them next summer but remain at Flamengo on loan until July 2019.
If he stays focused despite all the glamour surrounding him, he can get to a really high level
The statement adds the forward could play for Madrid before then if both clubs agree.
The deal for Vinicius will cost Real Madrid a reported £38million.
Brazil under-17's coach Carlos Amadeu believes Vinicius has the potential to play at the highest level.
