Hull boss Marco Silva gives major hint about his plans for future
MARCO SILVA has brushed off speculation over his Hull future and insisted his only focus is on the battle to beat the drop.
Marco Silva refused to be drawn on his future at Hull
Silva is close to sealing mission impossible by keeping Hull in the Premier League after overseeing an amazing turnaround since he replaced Mike Phelan in January.
It has seen the Portuguese head coach linked with a move away from the KCOM amidst interest from West Ham, Watford and Southampton, who are all set to launch their search for a new manager this summer.
Hull are currently two points clear of the drop zone
Silva is contracted until the end of the season but will trigger a 12-month extension if he guides them to safety to avoid an immediate return to the Championship.
He claims there has been no contact from any other club and said: “I came here with a big motivation to do well and nothing has changed in my day and in my work.
“The speculation with a coach and the players is normal in football and it starts now, but as professionals we never lose our focus. We have one goal in our mind and that is our focus.”
He is also attracting interest from abroad, and asked if he sees his future next season in the Premier League, he added: “It’s impossible to know what will happen in the future. I only see my future tomorrow, and preparing the team well for the next game.”
