Why Emre Can's overhead kick was even better than Wayne Rooney's - Liverpool icon
PATRICK BERGER believes Emre Can's overhead kick at Watford was even more impressive than Wayne Rooney's infamous goal against Manchester City.
Can stunned football fans the world over with his unbelievable overhead kick against Watford on Monday that also proved to be the winning goal.
It immediately drew polls questioning whether it was goal of the season.
Premier League stars have produced special strikes this season with Olivier Giroud, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Andy Carroll all in the running for goal of the year.

Patrick Berger believes Can's strike was even more difficult than Wayne Rooney's infamous strike
One of the most famous overhead kicks in Premier League history was Rooney's sensational goal against rivals Manchester City in 2011.
But former Liverpool star Berger has explained why he thinks Can's goal was even more spectacular.
"It wouldn't even come to my mind to try a scissor kick but it was a sensational goal," Berger told LFCTV.

"The assist from Lucas… When Rooney scored the goal it was a cross from the touchline so it's a different angle so you can understand why he scored a goal like this.
"But from this angle [For Can's goal] when he got the ball from Lucas, it's very difficult and he struck it so sweetly and it was sensational."
Vladimir Smicer echoed his former team-mate's comments and went on to say Can's strike deserves to be named goal of the season.
Berger added: "Not just that but it also won the game, very important game in order to finish in the top four."
