UEFA stand by Real Madrid decision to mock rivals Atletico tonight
ATLETICO MADRID have been left angered by UEFA and Real Madrid over an antagonising banner that will be displayed during their match at the Bernabeu tonight.
Real Madrid's supposed tifo for tonight's clash with Atletico
Real Madrid host Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final (7.45pm).
Ahead of the game images of a banner, also known as a tifo, that will be on display in the Bernabeu tonight have circulated.
The banner shows the Champions League trophy with ribbon either side, on which the words ‘Milan’ and ‘Lisboa' will be visible.
The named cities are in reference to the destinations of Real’s recent Champions League final triumphs over Atletico.
In 2014 Real beat Atletico 4-1 after extra time in the Estadio da Luz in Lisbon.
And last year they claimed an 11th European Cup with a penalty shootout win over their city rivals in Milan’s San Siro.
Real Madrid had a far more neutral tifo for their previous Champions League clash with Bayern

Atletico do not want the tifo displayed tonight but UEFA told Spanish newspaper Marca they cannot ban the banner.
"You cannot ban the banner because there is nothing offensive or insulting or anything like that," a UEFA source said.
