Eight clubs target Real Madrid outcast: Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham named
CHELSEA, Manchester United and Tottenham are among EIGHT European and Chinese clubs battling it out to sign Alvaro Morata, according to reports.
Conte rumoured to replace Diego Costa with Alvaro Morata
Real Madrid are willing to sell Morata to this highest bidder this summer.
Real re-signed the striker from Juventus at the start of the season but he has struggled to get game time under manager Zinedine Zidane.
And Spanish newspaper AS claim eight clubs are seeking to land the Spain international when he becomes available in July.
According to the report, Manchester United, Chelsea and Spurs all consider the former Juve frontman a worthwhile target.
Chelsea and United are both gunning for new strikers this summer, with Romelu Lukaku at Everton and Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann their top choices.
But both players will cost over £70m and Morata is a far cheaper target, with Real willing to sell.
Chelsea are said to have the upper hand over United due to Antonio Conte’s presence at Stamford Bridge.
Conte brought Morata to Juve back in 2014.

Manchester United and Tottenham are also supposedly keen on Alvaro Morata
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino could axe Vincent Janssen after a disappointing debut season from the Dutchman, with a space then available for Morata.
Meanwhile, Italian sides Juventus and AC Milan, plus Borussia Dortmund in Germany are supposedly keen on Morata.

Dortmund may be forced to sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the summer and Morata is seen as a viable replacement to the Gabon international.
But a move to China also cannot be ruled out, with the mega-rich Chinese Super League prepared to fund a move once their mid-season window opens for a month this summer.
