Aston Villa chief urges FA to punish Birmingham captain Paul Robinson
ASTON VILLA’S owner has called on the FA to act over video footage showing an apparent punch by Birmingham captain Paul Robinson in Sunday’s derby.

Dr Tony Xia took to Twitter to call Robinson’s actions “disgusting” and “unacceptable” after fans flagged up replays of the aftermath of Gabriel Agbonlahor’s winning goal for Aston Villa.
Fans on social media highlighted replays of Villa’s celebrations after Gabby Agbonlahor scored the only goal in Sunday’s clash at Villa Park.

The footage seems to show veteran defender Robinson lash out at Chester as he turned away to join in the striker’s celebrations in the 1-0 victory.
Xia also wrote: “If it’s a deliberate assault, then it’s unacceptable. We will do whatever to protect our players; if it’s just an accident then forget it.”
