Spanish newspaper Marca lets rip at Real Madrid star
REAL MADRID star James Rodriguez has been hammered by Spanish newspaper Marca.
James Rodríguez scores incredible goal during training
The Bernabeu giants remain three points clear at the top of La Liga after beating Real Sociedad 3-2 yesterday.
But that didn’t stop Rodriguez being slated by the respected sport news outlet.
Marca have published an article with the no-nonsense headline “James Rodriguez barely visible against Sporting Gijon”.
The article claims Rodriguez “did himself no favours” after “failing to take control of the match”.
They add that the Colombian “tried to dovetail with Isco and Mateo Kovacic but had little success”.
Zinedine Zidane’s men needed an injury-time winner to down Sociedad and Rodriguez has even been criticised for his celebrations.

Marca stuck the knife into James Rodriguez
They accuse Rodriguez of being “quick to revel in the success” of Isco after sending a tweet out after the match.
It read: "With the man of the afternoon, two goals from Isco, you killed it. What a great victory!"
