The Brazilian pair came off the bench at the bet365 Stadium with Stoke winning 1-0 at the time - and both scored to secure Liverpool three points.
They both returned to Liverpool's starting line-up for today's game at West Brom - and Klopp admits he had to be especially careful with Firmino.
The Reds manager said: "It's been a very difficult week, with Roberto especially because we really need to be careful with him.
"He's our all-time player, he plays nearly each game.
"I think we did well with it in the week and having him back together with Phil, of course, is very important for us."
