John Barnes Exclusive: Why Daniel Sturridge has a future at Liverpool
DANIEL STURRIDGE has a future at Liverpool and is the best striker at the club when fit and motivated, according to John Barnes.
Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge could be sold this summer
Sturridge has struggled under Klopp this season playing just 565 minutes of Premier League football this season.
He has made just five starts and scored two goals.
Liverpool have been linked with new strikers for the summer but Barnes thinks Sturridge can salvage his Anfield career.
Bonus Code Bets ambassador Barnes told Express Sport: “He has a future at the club because he has a contract, so of course he has a future at the club and the thing about him is we don’t know if he’s going to stay or if he’s going to go, but a fit and motivated Daniel Sturridge is good enough for any team.
“I would like next season to see him at the club and hopefully he will be there.
“I would like to see him get fit and get motivated and stay at the club absolutely.”

And Barnes thinks the 27-year-old England striker could fill the Sadio Mane void for the rest of the season after the winger was ruled out for the season.
“Daniel Sturridge will be in the team if he’s fit because when he’s fit and motivated he’s the best striker at the club,” Barnes added.
“Sadio Mane’s not a real centre forward like Daniel Sturridge, but I think if he’s fit for the run in I’d definitely put him on.”
