Arsenal are supposedly considering appointing Overmars, meaning he could become their first ever director of football.
Since 2012, the 44-year-old has overseen two Eredivisie titles and dealt with transfers.

Arsene Wenger has been in charge of most of the Gunners’ dealing during his time as manager, but a new structure is being sought.
Ahead of tonight’s 2-0 Europa League win for Ajax against Schalke, Overmars did not rule out going back to Arsenal, although highlighted he only recently penned fresh terms in Holland.
“I know the club pretty well and I have always kept in touch with Arsenal," Overmars said.
"As a player I had the ambition to play in Europe (outside the Netherlands).

“It might be an option in the future.
“I think there is a list with names, and I’m on it. It’s not strange since I’ve had a good time at Arsenal.
“But I’ve just signed a new contract at Ajax.”
Borussia Dortmund’s Michael Zorc is also apparently an option along with Overmars.
