The Portuguese spoke to the 15-year-old Scotland youth and his family and assured them there is a clear pathway to his Ibrox first team.
He has also been told that age is no barrier and he will be pitched in if he is good enough.

Gilmour has been training with the Gers first team and was included in the Scottish Cup squads for the wins against Morton and Hamilton.
The midfielder was also being courted by Liverpool and Arsenal, but it is now a straight fight between Chelsea and Rangers.

The English Premier League leaders have the financial muscle, but it’s understood there are issues still to be finalised by both clubs.
Gilmour is expected to make a decision on his future once final offers are on the table.
Chelsea would have to pay around £150,000 in compensation, but if they wanted to do a deal now they’d need to offer nearer £500,000.
