Chelsea star: I am not the best player in the Premier League
CHELSEA midfielder N'Golo Kante insists he is not the best player in the Premier League.
N'Golo Kante says he is not the best player in the Premier League
Kante joined Chelsea in the summer for £33million from Premier League champions Leicester and has been in sensational form this season to help the Blues to top of the table.
The France international has been heavily tipped to claim the PFA Player of the Year gong this term, but Kante insists a number of his team-mates at Stamford Bridge would be worthy of the award.
N'Golo Kante has been in stunning form for Chelsea
He told French outlet Telefoot: "My current form? I am flourishing, but I don't feel like the best player in the Premier League.
"There are a lot of good players. A lot of guys would deserve that title on my team."
Chelsea currently sit 10 points clear at the top of the Premier League after Saturday's 2-1 win at Stoke maintained their healthy advantage over Tottenham.
N'Golo Kante on course for back-to-back Premier League titles
But Kante, who has missed just one league game all season due to suspension, insists the title is far from secured.
The 25-year-old added: "We have to take the games one after the other. That's what everyone is thinking. We have to keep a hold on everything."
