But Sky Sports report that there is no reason for Everton fans to be concerned over the time it is taking for Lukaku to put pen to paper.
According to the report, Lukaku and his agent Mino Raiola have been working hard on the deal and the intention remains that he will sign the contract.
Everton are desperate to lock the Belgium international down to a new deal in order to ward off the advances of some of Europe's top clubs.
