The Swedish superstar would become the highest paid player in MLS history if he accepts the offer that is on the table and leaves Old Trafford after only one season.
Manchester United chiefs are keen to extend his contract by 12 months after he has taken the Premier League by storm by scoring 26 goals in all competitions.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 35, is represented by Italian super agent Mino Raiola who brokered Paul Pogba’s world record switch to United last summer.

And it has been suggested that Raiola wants a two-year deal for Ibrahimovic which is against United’s policy of only giving players over 30 one year deals at a time.
Ibrahimovic is paid around £11million a season by United which is almost double Orlando City’s Kaka who is currently the highest paid player in the MLS.
Kaka picked up around £5.9million a season but Galaxy are ready to offer him almost three times that amount to turn his back on United.

Galaxy are owned by American entertainment giants AEG the operators of London’s O2 Arena and the biggest owner of sports teams in the world.
So the finances are available to tempt Ibrahimovic to the States a year after he rejected them to move to United and become one of their designated players.
The club kept one of the two spots for designated players free after opting not to renew the contracts of Robbie Keane and Steven Gerrard at the end of last season.
