Celtic star speaks out on future plans after Chelsea interest
CRAIG GORDON hopes his new three-year Celtic deal isn't his last contract at the Scottish champions.
Craig Gordon hopes new Celtic deal is not his last
The 34-year-old has committed his future to the Premiership leaders after Celtic rejected several offers for his services from Chelsea in January.
Gordon's new deal takes him to the summer of 2020 but he is already looking beyond that after putting pen to paper.
The former Hearts and Sunderland shot-stopper had to prove his worth to Brendan Rodgers, who made goalkeeper Dorus de Vries one of his first signings as Celtic boss.
Antonio Conte wanted Craig Gordon at Chelsea in January
But, after being dropped for four games in the opening months of the season, Gordon did just that and has played in every game since the end of September.
Gordon told Celtic's official website: "I think it's the same for every player when a new manager comes in, you want to prove your worth to the team.
"You also want to stay in the team and it's taken a little while for me to do that and to be able to adapt to the way he wants me to play.

"Thankfully I've been able to do that and hopefully I'll be able to continue to do that over the next three years.
"Hopefully that's not the end either, I'm hoping to play on as long as I possibly can.
"There may be one contract beyond this but it's good for the next three years to know that stability is there and I'm going to be here fighting for trophies."
