A win for Crystal Palace last time out against Middlesbrough saw them move out of the relegation zone.
But Leicester's 3-1 victory over Liverpool on Monday night saw the Eagles slip back into the bottom three.
Sam Allardyce has won only two of his first nine league games since taking over from Alan Pardew in December.
The former West Ham boss admits he's found it more difficult than he first expected to turn Palace's fortunes around in recent months, but Wright believes the players need to give him a helping hand.
Sam Allardyce's Crystal Palace find themselves in the bottom three
If they play to their form they will not go down. They can't go down they are too good. Christian Benteke is a top striker
Andros Townsend, Wilfried Zaha and Yohan Cabaye all need to start delivering the goods on a regular basis if they want to stay up, Wright says.
"They are too good to go down," Wright told Express Sport.
"If they play to their form they will not go down. They can't go down they are too good. Christian Benteke is a top striker.
"They will not go down if Wilfried plays how he plays, Andros plays like he plays, Cabaye plays like he plays.
Ian Wright says Crystal Palace are too good to go down
Andros Townend's form has improved since Sam Allardyce's arrival
"I can't remember Cabaye having two to three games on the spin where he's been brilliant. I can't remember.
"Those are the things that need to be addressed. People just need to step up.
"What you're needing now is players to start playing well because it's no secret that the team that Sam's taken on at Palace is better than the team he took over at Sunderland so they should be doing better."
Wright will be hoping Palace's players take his advice on board when they take on West Brom tomorrow (3pm).
Wright was talking to Express Sport at an event for app Yakatak – a place for football fans to react to the sport they love at moments that matter, officially launching mid-March.
