The Manchester United defender has surprised many by establishing himself in Jose Mourinho’s starting XI regularly.
The Argentina international began the season out of the team but injuries to Chris Smalling and Eric Bailly gave him a chance to fight for his Old Trafford future.
And he has not looked back since, starting 22 of United’s last 29 games.
Rojo played at left-back in Sunday’s EFL Cup final win over Southampton.

But he admits it is not his preferred position.
He said: “I prefer to play in the centre but I can play as a full-back, too.”
Nevertheless, Rojo was delighted to pick up his third medal at Wembley.
Rojo has impressed for Manchester United
He added: ”It was the second time I’d played in Wembley Stadium with United this season and I’m very happy to win this trophy.
"It was a great game, an emotional one for the people to enjoy because it went back and forward. Finally we won thanks to Zlatan’s winning goal.
"The atmosphere in these last three games has been superb. Blackburn – I know the FA Cup is special for the fans. St Etienne, where it was like a game in Argentina. And now at Wembley."
